  1. Who can take the exam?

All persons who want to have their foreign language proficiency assessed or those who need the certificate of foreign language proficiency based on the 6-level Foreign Language Proficiency Framework for Vietnam, and

  1. have submitted all the required registration documents and have paid the fee.
  2. are not banned from taking any Foreign Language Proficiency Assessment Exam in Vietnam for 2 years for committing one of the following:

– Letting someone else take the test for you or taking the test for someone else in any form (impersonation);

– Attempting to disrupt the exam; assault the exam organizers or other candidates.

 

  1. Registration and payment (online via https://vstep.vnu.edu.vn/dangky/)

– A photo (4cm×6cm) taken no more than 06 months before the exam.

– The front image and the back image of a valid identification document that candidates will use in the exam (i.e., ID card or passport).

– Exam fee: 1,800,000 VND/ candidate

 

  1. Registration withdrawal

– To withdraw from the registration, candidates must show

  • identification documents (the original ID card or passport) and
  • confirmation of payment and registration submission
  • request for withdrawal

– To be eligible for a 50% refund of the exam fee, the withdrawal process must be done at least 7 working days before the exam (excluding Saturdays, Sundays, Tet holiday, and other holidays). After this period, candidates will not be eligible for any refund of the exam fee.

 

  1. Re-mark request

– Within 03 working days after the announcement of the test results, candidates who want their tests to be re-marked need to submit online re-mark requests via https://vstep.vnu.edu.vn/dangky/ (click on ĐĂNG KÝ PHÚC KHẢO)

– Candidates must use the registration number to complete their re-mark requests

– Remark fee: 800,000 VND/ request

 

  1. Official certificate pickup

– To receive the certificate, the candidate must present their valid ID card or passport, the images of which were submitted for the exam registration, at Room 301B, Building B2 every Tuesday and Thursday (business hours) within two months from the date of issue.

– If authorizing someone else to receive the certificate, the authorized person needs to present their valid identification document, the authorization letter (with the official seal of the authorized agency), and submit a notarized copy of the identification documents of both the authorized person and the one granting authorization.

 

  1. Notes

– The registration system will close once the registration limit of 200 candidates per exam session is reached.

– Candidates can find information about the exam on the official website: https://vstep.vnu.edu.vn.

– Candidates must present their identification documents, the images of which were submitted for the exam registration, at the exam room.

– Candidates are not allowed to enter the exam room if they arrive after the specified time for starting the exam. They are also prohibited from bringing mobile phones, broadcasting devices, transmission devices, recording devices, filming devices, and other equipment, including wristwatches, into the exam area.

– Candidates are not allowed to take the exam if they are currently prohibited from participating in the exam on the national scale.
